Beijing Xian Lhasa Shanghai Tour


Tour Itinerary
Day 1. Entry Beijing
Our guide will pick you up at Beijing airport and transfer you to hotel. Remainder of day is at leisure.

Day 2. Beijing
English speaking tour guide and private vehicle will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
Drive to the famous Tiananmen Square - The biggest downtown Square of the world. Stroll around the square.
From the north end of Tiananmen Square, we will enter the Forbidden City -also called Palace Museum, is located at the center of Beijing. It was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Rectangular in shape, Forbidden City is the world's largest palace complex. Visit the Forbidden City along the central axis from south to north for 1.5 to 2 hours. Proceed to Beijing Hutong -ancient city alley in Beijing. Many of them were built during the Yuan (1206-1341), Ming (1368-1628) and Qing (1644-1908) dynasties surrounding the Forbidden City. Take rickshaw to visit the ancient Beijing Hutong including Local family, Drum tower, Shicha Lake (also called Houhai Lake) and bar street.
Drive to the Temple of Heaven. Built in 1420, Temple of Heaven is situated south of Beijing city. It is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex in the world. Take sightseeing in the temple for one hour. Be transferred to enjoy Beijing Roast Duck Dinner. Beijing Roast Duck is delicious food with Beijing local flavor. Eating Peking duck is seen to be one of the two things you are absolutely supposed to do while in Beijing. You have one hour for dinner and rest.
Be transferred to theatre to enjoy Acrobatic show (19:30 to 20:45). Acrobatic show has been existent in China for more than two thousand years. It is one of the most popular art forms in China.
Be transferred back to your hotel after the performance. (B,L,D)

Day 3. Beijing
Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 am.
Drive one and half hours to the Ming Tombs. Located 60 Kilometers north of Beijing, Ming Tombs consist of mausoleums of 13 Ming emperors. Changling is the most famous one. Construction of the Changling was started in 1409 and completed in 1427. Visit the tomb for one hour.
Move on to visit the sacred way for half an hour. Drive 20minutes to restaurant for lunch.
Move on to the famous Badaling Great Wall -the most famous section of Great Wall, well maintained. It is easy to walk along this section of defensive project of ancient China. Take sightseeing on Badaling Great Wall for about 2 hours. Cable car is arranged to get the top to have a bird view of the wall.
Be transferred back to your hotel after the whole day tour. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4. Beijing - xian
Be picked up from your hotel at 08:30 am.
Drive to Summer palace - 20 kilometers northwest of downtown Beijing. Summer Palace is the largest imperial garden of Ming and Qing dynasty. The whole Summer Palace covers an area of over 290 hectares including more than 3,000 buildings, such as halls, pavilions, towers, etc.
Be transferred to airport to connect flight to xian.
xian Tour guide and private vehicle will meet you at xian airport. Transfer your to the hotel. (B, L)

Day 5. Xian
Be picked up from your hotel at 08:30 am.
Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses -the Eighth Wonder of the World. More than 6,000 different looking pottery figures depict the history of the Qin Dynasty from 221 BC-206 BC. Move on to appreciate the imperial garden of Tang Dynasty- Huaqing Hot Spring - a palace since the Tang Dynasty, the resort place of many emperors in ancient.
Then we will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda -Originally built in 652 of Tang Dynasty, the pagoda is functioned to collect Buddhist materials that were taken from India by the hierarch Xuanzang. Now it is Landmark of the xian.
Enjoy the Tang Dynasty dinner and show in the evening. Transfer back to your hotel after the performance. (B,L,D)

Day 6. Xian
Be picked up from your hotel at 08:30 am.
Visit the Provincial Museum -a magnificent architectural complex in the Tang Dynasty style. It is the first huge state museum with modern facilities in China. Visit the Great Mosque -the largest and best-preserved mosques of China, which serves as an important spot for religious activities of over 60,000 Muslims in Xi'an. Visit Great Mosque Bazaar. Move on to visit the City Wall - the best preserved, oldest and largest ancient city defense system in China. The wall has a history of over 600 years. Proceed to visit Drum Tower and Square. Be transferred back to your hotel after the tour. (B,L)

Day 7. Xian - Lhasa
Be transferred to airport to connect flight to Lhasa.
Arriving in Lhasa, be met by tour guide and private vehicle in airport. Visit the Nietang Buddha on the way from airport to your hotel. Check in Hotel. Remainder of the days is at leisure. (B,D)

Day 8. Lhasa
Be picked up from your hotel at 09:00 am.
Visit the Potala Palace. Originally built in the seventh century, Potala Palace is landmark of Lhasa. It is famous for its grand buildings, complicated constructions, devotional atmosphere and splendid artworks. Then we will visit the Sera Monastery - one of the three largest monasteries of Gelugpa. Completed in 1419, the collection of murals is maintained in perfect, original condition. Move on to visit the Norbulingka Park. Built in the 1740s, Norbulingka Park was Dalai Lama's summer palace. Visit a Tibetan family to get some information of Tibetan's life and local custom. Be transferred back to your hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 9. Lhasa
Be picked up from your hotel at 09:00 am.
Visit the Drepung Monastery - known as the most important monastery of Gelugpa in Tibetan Buddhism. Established in 1416, Drepung Monastery houses many cultural relics, which make it more superb. Then we will visit the Jokhang Temple -the holiest site in Tibet and is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Buddhists. Move on to visit the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street - Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts assemble and a place to which a visit must be paid. Visit the Tibetan Traditional Hospital and the local Carpet Factory.
Be transferred back to your hotel after the tour. (B, L, D)

Day 10. Lhasa - Shanghai
Be picked up from your hotel. Visit the Tibet Museum. Be transferred to airport to connect flight to Shanghai.
Arrive in Shanghai. Be met and transferred to your hotel.B, L

Day 11. Shanghai
Be picked up from your hotel at 08:30 am.
Visit Yu Garden -one of the best Suzhou-style gardens in southern China. Proceed to visit Jade Buddha Temple -famous Buddhist temple in downtown. Then we will visit Oriental Pearl TV Tower -the world's third tallest TV and radio tower, which combines ancient concepts with 21st Century technology.
Proceed to visit Nanjing Road and the Bund. Be transferred back to your hotel after the whole day tour. (B,L)

Day 12. Departure
Be picked up from your hotel, transferred to the airport to connect the flight for departure. (B)
